Lovell Safety Groups Earn Dividends


New York, NY… Lovell Safety Management Co., LLC, announced the 2011 – 2012 dividend earnings of five of its Safety Groups:

Safety Group #34 returned to members a 25 percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25 percent.

Safety Group #420 paid a 20 percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25 percent.

Safety Group #442 paid a 25 percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25 percent.

Safety Group #496 paid a 5 percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25 percent.

Safety Group #531 paid a 15 percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25 percent.

New NIOSH Smart Phone App Addresses Ladder Safety

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
announces the availability of a new Ladder Safety smart phone
application (app). This new app uses visual and audio signals to make it
easier for workers using extension ladders to check the angle the
ladder is positioned at, as well as access useful tips for using
extension ladders safely.

Important Information on Cement Safety

When cement comes into contact with skin, the
skin becomes hard thick and dry. It’s more than likely to cause the
exposed area to crack, it can also cause nails to become brittle and
inflame eyelids.

NIOSH, OSHA, and CPWR Announce Re-launch of the Construction Fall Prevention Campaign

From the CDC:

On April 28th, the National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health (NIOSH), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA), and CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training
announced the re-launch of the construction fall prevention campaign,
the national initiative to prevent falls at construction sites. Falls
continue to be the leading cause of work-related injury and deaths in
construction.

percent dividend. Qualifying members received an advance discount of 25

OSHA 10-Hour Course, Flushing, NY, June 19th and 26th, 2013

Save the Date! The OSHA 10-Hour Course, Flushing, NY, June 19th and 26th, 2013.

To aid in your compliance with the various Federal, State and City
regulations requiring this training, the LSM safety department is once
again offering the OSHA 10 Hour Course.
The course is provided by our OSHA certified instructors. Each employee
who successfully completes the program will receive a certification card
from OSHA.
