Barry Lovell, President of Lovell Safety Management

Barry S. Lovell serves as the President of Lovell Safety Management Co., LLC. Mr. Lovell has over 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation insurance and serves as the President of the Association of Safety Group Managers. Mr. Lovell also serves on the board of AMCOMP, the American Society of Workers’ Compensation Professionals, and is a recipient of their “Legends” award for lifetime achievement in the field of workers’ compensation.

Steven Bell serves as Vice President of Underwriting & Sales. Prior to joining Lovell, Steve served as Director of Underwriting for NYSIF, overseeing one of the largest WC underwriting operations in the country. He has over 32 years of expertise in WC underwriting, pricing, business & system development, operations & strategic business planning with proven success in the design, development & deployment of complex business & technology solutions.

Annette Malpica serves as Vice President, Director of Claims & Legal Counsel. She has over 29 years of workers’ compensation claims experience & brings unique insight to the claims process as an attorney & registered nurse. Annette has extensive legal & administrative experience managing large self-insurance workers’ compensation programs at Con Edison & the NYC Law Department. She has served as Chair of NY Self Insurers Association, President/Executive Director of the NY Claims Association & is a current Board member of AMCOMP.

Wael Khalil serves as Vice President & Director of Safety & Health Services providing leadership & expertise to a staff of safety professionals. With over 30 years in the field, Wael is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Licensed New York City Site Safety Manager (SSM), NYC Licensed Construction Fire Safety Manager and NYSDOL Code Rule 59 Consultant. Wael holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health and is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and the Safety Executives of New York.
